WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING…

If you're looking for a lazy, bumbling, incompetent realtor, then skip this review. But if you're hoping to find what must be the very best combination of a hard working, experienced, knowledgeable and personable agent on the planet, then pick Brandi Whitaker.
We were living 15 time zones away, looking online at properties in an area we'd never been to before. Brandi communicated with us day and night (she was even willing to download and learn a new phone app to facilitate the matter), and made the process of identifying, bidding, inspecting, and finally purchasing our new home as easy as if we'd been down the street.
She visited numerous homes for us in the process, and never complained when we didn't particularly care for one. Not only did she video each visit, but carefully, objectively, and expertly commented on details I would not have thought to ask about regarding all the major systems (gas, electric, appliances) in addition to the condition of nearly every inch of the home. Her thoroughness meant that when we finally moved back to the US and stepped inside our new purchase, there were no surprises or disappointments.
Although Brandi is obviously very smart and technically capable, she defies any stereotype of that making her a wooden, boring, or inarticulate nerd. She clearly matched my tone on whether to be "professionally distant" or "chatty," learning about us personally and sharing her own life as appropriate. In the end, I feel that as we move into a new area, we have at least one friend here already!
Brandi earned her commission with us. Wish we could give even more stars!

Whether you are looking to buy or sell, Brandi will exceed your expectations. If you have ever experienced the super passive, "I accept whatever I'm told" agent know this DOES NOT describe Brandi.
Home inspector says you have X, Y and Z issues that are going to cost $A, $B, and $C to fix? She challenges each utilizing her extensive network of specialists, and her network is extensive, professional and quick to respond to Brandi.
Opposite agent needs to be given a dose of common sense? Twice in our negotiation she skillfully navigated unreasonable asks.
Looking to buy but not sure where you want to live in the Portland area? She calls it home, and for good reason - never met anyone who understands each neighborhood's nuances as well as she does
Bottom line: she's no nonsense, considers nothing but your best interests, is available 7 days a week...do yourself a favor and set up a consultation.

Brandi was enormously helpful during the complicated process of selling my mother's house after her death. She is friendly and straightforward, which was a particular blessing during an emotional time. She navigated the legal complexities of the sale smoothly and went above and beyond in helping me to get the house ready for sale (this was huge, because I was an out-of-town seller). In the end we had several excellent offers, and she helped me navigate them as well.

Working with Brandi was a dream! We moved to Portland from the East Coast, and we were terrified of how hot the market was, how low inventory was, and we honestly thought it might not be possible to purchase a house within our budget. (We heard so many horror stories of people putting in dozens of unsuccessful offers and walking away with nothing!)
Brandi first helped us pinpoint areas of town where we might be successful and worked with us to set realistic parameters for our future home. She started shopping for us while we were still in transit, sending us tons of informative (and funny!) videos, and we felt completely comfortable putting in an offer on a house we'd never seen in the inside of. Much to our surprise, and thanks to her awesome negotiating skills and market knowledge, our very first offer was accepted (and it was well within our budget), and we moved swiftly to close without any issues! She was a great resource during the inspection process too, negotiating for us--and educating us--at every step along the way.
I can't recommend her enough. If you're looking for someone to help you beat this insane market, Brandi should be your top choice.

Brandi helped my partner and I buy our first house in NE Portland. She was amazing throughout the entire experience from our very first call to the day we moved in. Her continuous support and critical eye were immensely helpful at every stage of the process. It also helps that she's always as cool as a cucumber!
I honestly don't know how we could have made it through this without Brandi. We feel so lucky to have found her. I would recommend Brandi to anyone starting their house hunting journey.

We had a great experience working with Brandi! We live in LA, but had a condo in Portland and were looking to sell. We flew up to Portland to meet with Brandi and she took care of the rest. Brandi is very knowledgeable with the Portland market & was very helpful as she had connections to get things done quickly before the property was listed. Brandi was always quick to respond if we had any questions, a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend her to anyone looking to sell their home!

We cannot recommend Brandi highly enough! We wanted to buy one very specific home in Beaverton that was pretty unique in its architecture, which meant complications for home inspections, appraisals, etc. Brandi not only made our entire process easy, found an inspector that had experience with our kind of home, and was available whenever she had a question, but she helped us get our house for 50k off the listed price.
What makes Brandi so amazing is that she really does her research, and is honest and forthright about what she finds. As an example, we were worried about the appraisal process because of the uniqueness of our house. Brandi pulled together a list of comps herself and showed them to us so we had an idea of what to expect. She was always going above and beyond.
I have worked with other realtors before but Brandi was the best. If we ever need to buy another home, she would be the first person we would call. I recommend Brandi to anyone searching for a realtor, she is truly the best of the best.

Our experience working with Brandi was top notch. I honestly do not even know where to begin, but begin I must so here goes... Brandi basically knows everything about houses. This was not our first time buying a home but this time was SO different. Brandi knows a ton about home construction and the appraisal process and she was able to help us understand every step of the process in a way we had not before. We felt relaxed and not stressed at all during the process, which is really saying something because buying a home can be really stressful!
Our transaction there were multiple offers, but Brandi helped us put together an offer that was attractive and we WON! We now live in the home of our dreams and it is all thanks to Brandi. Brandi also was able to connect us with a stellar local lender which made the lending process so easy.
Simply put, Brandi is the best there is.

We worked with Brandi both on the buy and sell side in summer 2021. It was a nutty market, and Brandi was superb. She was incredibly responsive and easily reachable by text, phone or email. Brandi went the extra mile on finding out more about any property we were interested in, partly by checking into the property's past sales history, and partly by asking the seller's agent all the right questions. She probably did a whole bunch more behind the scenes that we didn't even know about. Brandi is truly interested in her field and has become that rare expert who's got her finger on the pulse on the market and can explain everything you need/want to know in a clear and upfront manner. (I also love her blog - check it out if you haven't yet!)
We were successful in buying the house we wanted at the price we were willing to pay. Brandi was in communication with the seller's agent throughout the offer process and was able to relay the information we needed to craft an attractive offer. The whole purchasing process went perfectly. A quick story: Brandi connected us to two lenders we liked. One was at a local bank and the other was a mortgage broker. For the trifecta, I reached out to the credit union that had financed our previous home. I didn't even hear back from the credit union until we were already *in contract* on our new home. So I sure am glad that Brandi had lender recommendations. (Her recommendations were absolute top-notch professionals, right up there with Brandi.) She also connected us with a wonderful home inspector ... she's got one great list of people-who-get-stuff-done. In short, we found the house, we bought the house, and it was all easy-peasy.
We then turned our attention to selling our house. We picked a listing date and off we went. Brandi had every connection we needed to prep our house for sale, and was able to pull in a contractor at last minute when the handyman we had originally scheduled got sick. As contractors have been very booked up in the past couple of years, this was super helpful and impressive. Brandi suggested that we hire a stager and I'm convinced that the staging added 10% to the offer amounts. The photos came out lovely, Brandi nailed the listing description, and we were on the market. We were very happy with the offers we received that first weekend and picked a buyer. Brandi stayed in close communication with their agent throughout the rest of the transaction and everything, again, went smoothly.
Brandi works incredibly hard to make everything so easy for us as the buyers and sellers. 100% recommend!
